The B.R.High School is located at the foot step of TRI. Krosaki Refractories Ltd about 400 kms west of Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha and on the north of Mahanadi River The School was adjudged as the BEST SCHOOL by Board of Secondary Edn., Odisha in the year 2000-01, came to stay on 22 August, 1968 with only three teachers named Sri Sushil Kumar Pujari, Sri Gouri Shankar Dash, Sri Balabhadra Das and 18 students.

            This co-education day-cum-residential odia medium school was founded by Dr S.S. Ghose, the then General Manager of Belpahar Refractories Limited Now, it has flourished into a big institution with 750 students, 33 teaching and 11 non-teaching staff

B.R.High School, Belpahar, a day-cum-residential school adjudged as the Best School in district of Jharsuguda by Board of Secondary Education,Odisha in the year 2000-01,came to stay in the year 22^nd July ,1968 with only 3  teachers and 18 students . It is located in the boarder area of Odisha and Chhatisgarh. This co-education Odia medium school was founded by Dr.S.S.Ghoshe, the then General Manager , Belpahar Refractories Limited ( now TRL Krosaki Refractoeies Limited ) & President of  the School Committee . Now it has flourished into a big institution with around 1000 students, 33 teachers, 02 office assistants, 07 support staff and 02 hostel wardens. A Private Management Committee of its own runs the School under the patronage of Belpahar Education Society (BEST).

          B.R.High School since it’s inception has covered a long path and achieving one milestone after another .The School earned reputation to its credit in various respects like: The Best School in the district, Chief Minister Merit Award,  Prakruti Mitra award, 100% pass in Matriculation, Smart Class-digital teaching system ,N-Computing Lab, fully equipped Math Lab etc . It is a trend setter in imparting practical based Computer Education in Odisha (First odia medium school in western Odisha and Second in the State) and being the First Odia School in the State to install digital teaching system in 10 class-rooms of the School. The School has provided many facilities to the students like N.C.C (Girls /Boys), Scout/Guide , Junior Red Cross, Knowledge Center, Reading Room, Moral &Value Education ,Yoga Music Room, Literary works in the form of  School Magazine & Wall Magazine, Science Club , News Corner , Math Corner, Science Corner, Game Corner,Eco Club Drama Club, Picnic ,Study Tour etc. The School started its own Hostel for boy students from the session 2003-04.
